At Stendhal, we understand the value of strategic alliances as the main road to finding alternative diagnostic methods and innovating therapies that contribute to making a difference in patient care.

We are constantly searching to establish alliances with organizations involved in research and the development of new alternatives for healthcare, especially in the field of specialized medicine.  We understand the risks and responsibilities that these types of alliances bring and we are more than willing to provide financial and operational backing for projects that are interesting to us.

We believe that the alliances that we have established to date are the best evidence of our honesty and efficacy:
•    Through a strategic alliance with Gilead Sciences, we have made possible that more patients have access to better treatment for HIV/AIDS: Viread, Truvada and Emtriva; in addition, physicians will soon have Ambisome, a new and effective treatment for mycotic infections that compromise patients´ lives.

•    In the neurosciences field, with an alliance with Biogen Idec Inc. we are contributing to improve and extend the quality of the lives of patients with Multiple Sclerosis.

•    With Biomarin Pharmaceutical we have an agreement that will facilitate the introduction of enzymatic replacement therapy for Mucopolysaccharidosis VI in Mexico.

•    With Ferring Pharmaceuticals, we have signed an alliance agreement that will allow for providing the Venezuelan medical community treatment in areas such as obstetrics and prostate cancer.

At Stendhal, we are interested in expanding our product and business portfolio in the following therapeutic high specialty areas: infectious diseases, neurology, oncology, hematology, intensive care, hospital medicine, autoimmune diseases, transplants, cardiology and gastroenterology.
